Transposition: Motion is Action - An International Media Art Exhibition.
TRANSPORTER
Two conveyor belts of about 13m long are set up next to each other and running in opposite directions. People can lay down on them to be transported very slowly. Hidden under the surface an invisible mechanism produces a subtle yet intense tactile experience for the spine. Halfway the trajectory the visitors are confronted with 2 horizontal mirrors moving up and down above them.

TIPPING POINT is inspired by a recent collaboration with researchers from the Norwegian Polar institute about the impact of human activity and toxic waist on the arctic ecosystem. Air and water are the main elements that transport, store and interact in a vast yet very delicate thermodynamic process where small critical changes can generate enormous changes.
A large glass disc is suported in its midpoint and ballances horizontally around its point of gravity. The disc is filled with water and an airbubble that slowly travels around, hesitates and brings the disc out of ballance. An enlarged level so to speak.

SOLID STATE
A meeting table is set up in a dim space. People can sit down and feel how the table starts vibrating. As the frequencies of 2 motors go in and out of synch a series of complex rhythms emerges and resonates in the table, the floor and the body of the visitor. The volume varies from very quiet to very intense.
